Record a Skype Conversation – Publish a Testimonial

Record a Skype conversation with a satisfied customer, and publish the testimonial on your You Tube channel!

Here are some features of Skype recording software programs that are available for free download and trial use. The paid versions of these programs, which usually unlock longer recording times, are around $30.

You can find recording software on the Skype Applications site. These programs all require one to “Allow” Skype to connect with the program, and they all have automatic recording features. Here are a few of the features that set them apart.

Pamela for Skype seemed to be the easiest ‘out of the box’ software, yielding a compact image/audio file.  However, there appeared to be fewer recording options than in the programs below.

AchTek Video Call Recorder seemed to deliver large output files, BUT, it has the capability to separate the audio of each participant into separate files; this could be handy for later video editing, especially if you are interested only in the testimonial of the remote participant, and wished to delete the local soundtrack. The video output shows the remote participant in a large viewing window, and the on-site participant as a small sub-window.

Evaer Video Recorder software had the feature to record either the remote window, the local window, or both; and both windows could be displayed side by side. This might be the software to use if you wish to capture both sides of the conversation.

Interestingly, most recording Skype software is getting only moderate reviews. One may wish to try some of the more expensive software options. Let me know if you do, and I’ll add your feedback to the post. Thanks!
