DNS Tools and Services

Domains communicate via domain name server (DNS) settings; if your website is not resolving properly, here is a brief list of tools that can help figure out why. These tools include DNS and WhoIs lookups:

Leaf DNS – checks the DNS configuration across the web, as does IntoDNS.

DNS Stuff – has a wide range of tools, including DNS reports, DNS Lookup, WhoIs Lookups, SSL examinations, Website info,

MX Toolbox, also checks domain health, SMTP email checking, accounts etc.

DigWebInterface (select Type = ANY) idenfities A records (pointing to the IPS of the domain) and MX (mail exchange) records (see About MX Records)

IP lookups are easy to find – WhatIsMyIPAdress seems particularly useful
