I’ve been making a list of my favorite free graphics tools and applications … here they are.

Photoshop Alternatives – there are some good ones!

• GIMP – it’s open source – it’s been around for a while – tried and true
• Sumopaint – it has online and desktop versions (recommended by Hubspot)
• Pixlr – an online tool similar to Photoshop
• Inkscape – the sister tool to Gimp (like Illustrator is to Photoshop) – it’s an open source vector-drawing program

• PhotoScape – a small download
• PicMonkey – an online tool

Color-Matching Use an Eyedropper Tool

• Colorpic – a desktop tool 

Color-scheme Tool

• Paletton – Color scheme designer

• (Snagit, a not-free program by Techsmith – excellent)
• Skitch, by Evernote
• Camstudio, for video
