How Is Your Business Listed on Local Directories?
See how your business is listed on local directories and search engines, using Yext, Yahoo, or Express Update.
Yext provides a free review of your listing status. While Yext is a powerful engine, submissions are a bit pricey.
Express Update requires business verification to review listing status (maybe no longer needed); once verified, they provide an option for free submissions, or you can opt for a paid monthly subscription (once cancelled, listings can get overwritten).
Yahoo provides a service similar to Express Update, but for a minimum 3-month subscription ($30/month, for a total of $90). I understand that Express Update powers most of the same directories as Yahoo, so Express Update is probably a better value.
The Moz Local Tool also provides a useful review of your listings, and the cost is competitive.
Remember to check the most important listings, on Google, Yahoo, Bing, Apple, and Facebook – see the post here.
